Dear Linda. I am so sorry aboout your mom. As I have said to you before, there is no one else in your life like your mother. She shared your life with you and was the keeper of your childhood memories. I know you will miss her very much. Funny how life brought us together. And strange how we shared the deaths of our mothers. In time you will only remember the good things and put aside the memories of her illness. Meanwhile, take care of yourself. Your friend, Betty

To Linda: I am sending my condolences on the loss of your Mother. Some days I read the obits a little bit more in-depth and I happened to come across the "Gale" name. When my Father passed away 2 1/2 years ago, several old friends sent on line sympathies. I hope you remember who I am; if you are still in the Chicago area, please feel free to e-mail me. Time goes by so fast; it seems like yesterday that we were at Niles East. I know you live in AZ now - do you still keep in touch with Ilene? We saw her the summer she was in for her Mother's funeral. Anyway, I hope you are doing okay. It is very difficult losing a parent. Fondly, Barbara Horvitz-Silverman (I only use Silverman but didn't know if you would remember).
