Mom you are now a Great Grandmama and her name is October. She is beautiful, sweet, smart, and she would have been spoiled by you so much. She is just like Heather, the eyes, the intelligence (which we all got from you), and more then that, she is sweet as can be. You would have loved to have had her in your life. October was born in October so that is the name chosen by Jason and Heather, and she fits that name. I know you watch over her. She looks at your picture and smiles and stares as if she knows you. Also, Scottie and Lindsey married, so the two wishes you wanted the most, you got. I love you and miss you. Joe took off yesterday so we could remember you by celebrating your life and we did. You loved Star Trek and we went and saw it in your honor. So, mom, this online will end at the end of July this year, and I wanted to send you this letter so you had a closure of two things you were hoping to see. A Great Grandbaby (October) and a marriage (Scottie and Lindsey). Love you mom, signing off, but you are always in my heart forever and always and Joe's too as well as the rest of this family. I knew Dorothy from her days at River Forest Insurance Company. Though she was a business associate, it was her friendship that I most valued. Rest in peace ... and perhaps, we shall meet again.

Even though I met Dorothy briefly in 2008, I am saddened to hear about her passing. May her memory never be forgotten and continue on in our hearts and minds during this sad time.

I was deeply sadden by the news of your moms passing. I had the opportunity to meet her briefly. She was sweet and delightful and I was amazed at her ability and strength for her age. I'm sure she was an amazing mom.
