Dorothy was my first friend when my family moved next door to hers in Chicago. We played dolls together and discovered boys together. She was such a happy upbeat person who was well liked by so many people. Dorothy, you were taken way to early. God has gained another angel.

What a beautiful person Dorothy was. Her smile and positive attitude were contagious. As a former coworker of Dorothy's and friend, I feel honored to have known her. She was truly a ray of sunshine to those who knew her. She is an angel with the Lord now.

Dorothy was a grammar school classmate of mine at Assumption B.V.M. in West Pullman. She was on our prayer list at St. Raphael in Naperville.
I was so saddened to hear of her death - my parents are also at Holy Cross, so I will make a point to visit the next time I am in the area. I remember her goodness and her smile - she was kind to all!

May Dorothy rest in peace. Her smile just lit up a room - a gentle, loving soul. You will be missed. Loved being at the Christmas cookie exchanges with you and getting to know you a little.

It was once written that " is not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years." Dorothy, you gave all of us so much in your friendship. I am so glad that you were a part of my life for the past 36 years. You were always there for everyone. I think you may have been the first one to the pod but we will all get to enjoy it as we had planned in the future. We will miss you dearly. Rick Steerzer

"...Well done, good and faithful servant!..." (Matthew 25:21)
Our sweet Dorothy brought such JOY into people's lives, such energy, such spirit ! A life lived too short. So sad & tragic for all of us. But Dorothy, I know you are in Paradise making Jesus laugh and smile (& Chuckles) just like you did always for all of us. GOD BLESS YOU, sweet Dorothy, forever & always ! Much love to dear friends Marie & George & family.

Dorothy was one of the first McCordians that I got to know when I moved to Chicago. She was always helpful, thoughtful, and a lot of fun to be around. It's sad to know that she's been taken from this life as such a young age.

We here at STIHL appreciated Dorothy's work tremendously and enjoyed being in touch with her not only for business over the last years. The shock we felt ran deep and we hope that she is now home and found peace.

Reading the sad news or Dorothy's passing left me speechless. I will always remember her as an incredibly kind, caring person. The first time I talked to her was back in 2005 and we had a strictly business relationship. Over the months and years I came to consider her more a friend who cared more for others than for herself immersing herself in work. I hope she found peace and am thankful our lifepaths crossed.

It was a privilege and joy to know Dorothy. Her thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. She became part of our family through her dear friend, my sister-in-law, Marie. May all who loved her find God's peace and solace at this time. And Dorothy, I promise to make your "Little Cheese Cakes" often! xo Mary Ellen Grenchik-Kouris

I was so sad to get the news today of Dorothy's death. She was a great co-worker and friend during the years we worked together at McCord, and she has been taken from us entirely too soon. May she rest in peace.

Celebrating a life well lived but cut short in her prime of life. We will cherish the memories forever. I will always have a reminder of our friendship a small figurine of 2 little girls on a bench sharing laughter, smile. Dorothy gifted me with this memento after a dear cousin went HOME after a courageous fight!!! So now I have this precious reminder of them both. My deepest sympathy to the family and a wish that God hold you close during this journey and bring you peace. Blessings, Pam Vargo, McCord
