Dorothy Bondy Obituary

Dorothy M. Bondy passed away in Midland, Texas on August 31, 2007. She lived life to the fullest for 86 years.

Dorothy married the love of her life, Floyd in 1942. They met at Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos. Floyd passed away in October 2006.

Dorothy was the Matriarch of the Bondy clan: Neal Bondy and his wife Susan of Southlake, Glenda Rogers and her husband Charles of Kyle, and Mark Bondy and his wife Nancy of Midland. She was known as "Other Mother" by her six grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her sister and parents.

Dorothy was born in Houston, Texas to Neal and Pearl Mosley. She was a homemaker and very proud of the children she raised. Dorothy was a Life Master bridge player and was blessed to have completed Bible Study Fellowship. Her passion was traveling the world. She and Floyd loved Africa more than any place they had visited.

Dorothy and Floyd moved to Midland from Houston in 2002. They attended Christ Church Midland and were blessed to be a part of that Christ-centered family. The family wishes to thank Carol and Kaye, our angels in these last days.

A service celebrating Dorothy's life has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church Midland, 5501 N Midkiff, Midland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christ Church Midland, 5501 N Midkiff, Midland, Texas, 79705 or Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at: www.npwelch.com.

I knew Floyd and Dorothy through our Christ Church family. Their warm and pleasent glow flowed throughout our church community into God's endless orbits.

I will always cherish her sharing with me, her Mother Teresa connection/experience. I am just thankful that she chose to share that with me. I felt the Holy Spirit flow from her hands to mine when she told me about it.

God Bless all of you,

Mary Rowland
