Dear Aunt Dorothy, all of us Fischers remembered and said a little prayer for you on your birthday, and as always, Linda and I shared a cup of coffee together that evening in rememberance of your birthday...We remember that every December 23rd, no matter how busy it was at work that day trying to get the office work in shape before the holiday - or how much xmas shopping we still needed to get done, Linda and I would leave a little early that nite, pick up Mom at home and head over to your house to celebrate your birthday - we continue to miss you and remember those days fondly and always will. I hope you and Mom continued to celebrate both your December birthdays in heaven this year too. As we head into the New Year, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers always, and know that we down here will always keep you in our hearts.

I’ll always remember Aunt Dorothea fondly, with a smile on her face and eager to hear the latest stories about the lives of me and my cousins. I wish I could have been around to say a final good-bye. May she rest peacefully, reunited with Grandma Barbara.

Death is final, and we are sad, Dorothea is gone! Life is precious for us, left behind, and filled with wonderful memories...Some of our favorites are George, Janice and Dorothea stopping by, George, always playing the piano. We sit, talk, and have a little food. Just a good time, cherished always. With Love.

Aunt Dorothy was an integral part of our lives. I remember how Aunt "Dor" and my Mom would bike the lakefront and how she was always there to help celebrate our special moments. Aunt Dor had great taste in clothes and found the perfect job as a saleslady at Morris B. Sachs where,I can still recall, her helping me select my special 8th grade graduation dress. Aunt Dorothy was my Godmother who shared her strong faith. During Lent my sister Judy and I would stop by St. Michael's for early Mass and Aunt Dor was always so happy to see us and introduced us to all her friends. I remember the fun we had planning her "50th wedding anniversary shower" and how suprised she was! I think of Aunt Dor in the midst of all the Christmas/birthday luncheons celebrated on Leavitt with the Fischer crowd and imagine all of them celebrating in heaven now that she's joined them. Aunt Dorothy was most loved and will be missed.

I loved Aunt Dorothy like a mother she was my mother's cousin and had taken me into her heart when I came to U.S.A. and made the beginning in this country much better.
I will miss her dearly.
