To the Family of Doris Williams Yankee:
I would like to offer my condolences at this time. May your many precious memories and the comfort that God gives ease your grief during this difficult time. Psalm 37:11 tells us that "the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

It was my joy to know Doris for the five years I worked at Lake Forest Place. Doris was a very sharp and witty woman who loved to laugh and never lost touch with the spunky person she was. She was upbeat and happy to exchange pleasantries, even when she was immersed in a good book. I was so impressed with her dedication to sitting outside every day regardless of the weather - she loved reading a book or doing a crossword puzzle outside in the fresh air! Now that I read about all that she did in her working life, I am even more impressed. She was a truly remarkable and special person; she lived her values and left the world better for having passed through it. I remember her with fondly and with great respect. My condolences to her sons.

I am a caregiver where Mrs. Yankee lived. She was a very sweet lady, and will be missed very much. I'm sorry for your loss. I miss seeing her outside in front of the building smoking her cig. doing the puzzle out of the News paper.
