I remember this Classy Lady who was the owner of Hudsons in Downtown Gary and Village Shopping Center. I worked there. My parents Mack & Jossie Washington worked for her also. I knew her mother Mrs. Wechler and met her Brother Burton and son David. I was there when she was inducted into the Civil Rights Hall of Fame for Gary, it was also the last time I saw and spoke to ther. I am sorry to read of her passing. May her spirit and compassion for others live on. Linda Washington Robinson.
