Doris Hoskins Obituary

Dear Bob and Family: I loved Dorie and her outgoing ways. She's a role model. She truly made me feel welcomed to the Trinity Methodist Church and the Book Club. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her joys of travel and love of her family. She was energetic and fully embraced life right to the end. I'll truly miss her. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Both Jim & I will miss Dorie very much, she was a great neighbor and friend. We send our condolences to Bob and family.

I am so sorry to learn of this loss and my prayers go out to the family. I remember Dori from New Trier working with my mother in the nurses office. The office was a friendly place to go if you were sick, or just needed reassurance to get thru the day. I am now a school nurse and I try and run our office the same way. School nurses do not just give pills, bandaids, and hugs... those are only a small part of what Dori understood so well.

Dear Hoskin family,

Dorie always seemed to live life to the fullest. Her sudden passing certainly reminds us all to make the most of each and every day. We'll miss her cheery greetings and smiling face as she always raced to and from the house. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We're here for you if and when you need us.

Scores of New Trier High School students and teachers remember Dori with great fondness through her work as a school nurse for more than two decades. Her gentle spirit and great kindness were always reassuring and helpful in both large and small matters. Dori touched so many lives in so many positive ways.
