My folks (George and Arlene) and I were deeply saddened to read about Donna Struebing's passing in the First Church newsletter and in the Lombardian. Our love and sympathy go out to you. It has been many years since we last saw each other, but you all are still in the Merl family's thoughts and prayers.

She was a dear sweet woman that will hold memories forever in my heart. She was my Camp Fire leader, the mother of one of my dear childhood friends and a fun person to be around. My sympathies go out to the Struebing family.

Coming to Lombard was quite a drive for me but having Donna's loving and caring friendship made the trip seem shorter. Life is short but the memories live on. I will truly miss her. My prayers go out to her family. God grant this family the strength they need to press on in this time of sorrow. God bless each of you, one by one and address by addres.
