Donna's Family~

We were shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news about Donna. She and I were bridesmaids for Brenda Koenig when she and Ron Haky married in 1960. Ron is my brother. Through the years I would see Donna in California when she came out for weddings, vacations, etc. and was always impressed with her sparkling personality. She was quite a gal!

Dear Ma,
Thank you for your influence given to so many of us growing up as kids. Always one step ahead with a heart of love,and a voice of confidence to maintain lifes many obstacles. You were always the extended parent that could make us feel special,because you made it a point to know the details.
You will be in our hearts forever,and as you join the many that have left us, I'm sure they will be welcoming you for a long time to come. We will miss you dearly. Never good-bye,but farewell

I did not know Donna all that well.
I used to see her on the Pulaski bus in the mornings sometime on her way to work.

Then in December I met her at a Christmas Party and we were formally introduced. It was nice to finally put a name to a face.

I am devastated to learn of her passing because I saw and talked to her on the Pulaski bus that fatal Tuesday morning. We talked about the weather and how we could not wait until spring came.

When we said good-bye, little did I know that I probably would be one of the last persons to whom she talked to.

I wanted to let her familiy know that she was in good spirits that day, talking to me and to the bus driver. She was always in a good mood and always had a smile on her face.

My only regret is that I did not get the opportunity to get to know her better. From what I have heard, she was one great lady.
