Donald Swaty Obituary

SWATY, DONALD, Donald Bryant Swaty died at his home on May 30, 2007 at the age of 71. He was born in Fordyce, Arkansas on September 2, 1935 to Annette Bryant Swaty and D. O. (Pat) Swaty. Don graduated from Lamar High School in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston. He married Joann Koberling on February 20th, 1959 and had three daughters. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was also an avid golfer and a member of Hackberry Creek Country Club in Las Colinas. He attended Valley Ranch Baptist Church. Don is survived by his wife Joann, daughter Linda Blasingame and son-in-law Troy of Altus, Arkansas, daughter Sharon Skaar and son-in-law Chris of Chicago, Illinois, daughter Stefanie Marquez and son-in-law Jeff of San Antonio, sister Patricia Towal and brother-in-law Bob of Burnet, Texas; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Jeremy Ashlock. Graveside services are planned for 2:00 PM on Friday, June 1, 2007 at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas.
