REED Donald Brion Reed Jr., 25, formerly of Westphalia, died June 2, 2006. He was born on Feb. 11, 1981, in St. Charles, Mo., the son of Donald Brion Reed Sr. and Vanette "Pixie" Walton Haviland Reed. He attended Fatima High School in Westphalia and Lincoln University. Survivors include his father, Donald Reed Sr., Indiana; one sister, Sophie Reed, Indiana; one step-brother, Branden, of Indiana; one step-sister, Tia, of Indiana; grandparents, Van Haviland, Jefferson City; and Ethyl Reed, Collinsville, Ill.; four uncles and their wives, Randy and Jan Haviland, Westphalia; Mark and Cheryl Haviland, Loose Creek, Mo.; Warren and Betsy Haviland, La Jolla, Calif.; and Charles and Margaret Kling, Collinsville, Ill.; and six cousins, Ali, Bekah, Kate, Evan, Joy, and Chuck. He was preceded in death by his mother; and two grandfathers, Donald Reed and Warren Haviland. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson City, with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. What I loved the most about DJ was his sense of humor. DJ could turn a serious situation into one of laughs! I will miss him greatly and his memory will be with us forever.
