Donald Massie Obituary

Donald Lee Massie, 55, passed away December 7, 2007, at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

He was born September 4, 1952, in Albemarle County to the late Elwood Massie.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Perry Massie.

He was a veteran in the United States Army and worked as a dental technician.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Barbara Massie of Stanardsville; and one son, Brandon Massie of California; one brother, Elwood Allen Massie of Wash. D.C.; four sisters, Florence Tibbs of Ruckersville, Lula Burley and her husband William, Barbara Brock and Deloise Williams and her husband James, all of Stanardsville; two uncles, Keith Blakey of New Jersey, John Blakey of Wisconsin; two aunts, Virginia Jackson of Charolttesville and Creather Smith of Chicago, Illinois.

He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at the Mt Sinai Baptist Church in Earlysville with the Reverend James Washington officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of Barbara Massie following the service.

Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
