Donald Fenton Obituary

Remembering Don Fenton: Thankfully, I get an email each year on this day, the same day of my own Father's funeral. I can't help but reminisce a bit. I have fond memories of the man this memorial eulogizes from time spent doing business with his companies at Long Chevrolet and Piemonte Ford. When I was young just out of college working for one of his clients he invited me to attend a Bull's game with him and his wife, Ann. It was only the second time I had ever been to a professional NBA game. And now I have become quite the fan of it. I will always remember Don's great personality and generosity which he passed on to his family especially his son Rich Fenton. He was loved by many people and had a positive effect on them all. May all who read this and knew Don be blessed with all the goodness life has to offer.

6 years, unreal. Grave looked great, lots of new things. I'm posting a picture of Donnie 3, so people can see how much he looks like you. We miss you, we love you and wish you could be here for all of this; especially Mom.

Carole and I continue to keep Don & Milo in our prayers as well as words of encouragement to the Fenton & Matick families. When friends are taken out of our lives as Don & Milo were, all we have are memories....and what great memories they were.....they were icons and masters of their expertise in fleet transportation...during this first anniversary of their loss to their beautiful families and friends we can say again...thanks for being a part of our lives above and beyond ANY business connections. April was the first anniversary of my mother's passing and now August for my mentors and best friends - Milo and Don. Don, our weekly talks are sorely missed. Even though your not here for us to see - your presence is still with us. God Bless you and the entire Fenton family.

Yesterday marked the first year of Dad's passing. How many times we have thought, "Call Dad - tell him..." or "Dad would love this place, we should bring him here..." He is dearly, deeply missed each and everyday... and his presence is always with us.

I know today will not be an easy day for all those who Loved Don Fenton, but I wish for all of you to have the strength and courage to support each other today and everday. He was a wonderful and caring man and I believe he watches over all those he loved.

Christmas has come this year...People we all love are not here to share in this moment or the feelings we all have, but I KNOW in my heart, that those WE all love, are right here with us, letting their love and spirit warm us all...I just wanted to wish everyone a very special and Merry Christmas. The sudden passing of both Don and Milo is an extreme shock to the many people who had the fortunate experience to be around them. Don and his group at Piemonte National Fleet worked very hard to land the Vulcan Materials Company fleet business several years ago. Through their professionalism, integrity and perseverance, they continue to maintain it. It was my pleasure along with our Vulcan fleet team members to solidify a strong and personal relationship with them. They are truly missed. God is with you, your family and friends during this difficult time of need.
