I knew Don through his automotive business. He was one of the most honest men I,ve ever known. Don would go out of his way to help someone. I will miss him. My family all considered Don a good friend. The last time I saw Don he still had that smile, but he had lost so much weight and I know he didn't feel good, but he never complained. That's the courage I hope I have when my time comes. Goodbye, my dear friend.

The Shiro family are saddened to hear the news today. He was kind, honest, hard worker, and a friend. Even through his illness he did not want anyone to feel sad for him. He did not want the spotlight on him. He knew how to operate a business the right way, he was honest. His employees are the same way as he.
Don, you are sorely missed. You are so much loved. I'm glad I was able to tell you how much my family and I care about you. The news of your passing hit my parents and I hard. I will think about you when I'm or Chambers Automotive are working on my vehicles.
Sincerely,
Greg Shiro (Mary, Ken, & Cyndi Shiro)

I had the pleasure of knowing the Chambers family first through Renee, who was my oldest son's teacher in first and partially 2nd some 22+ years ago.As the years passed, I began taking my vehicles to Chambers Automotive, not only because of my relationship with them, but because of the honesty and trust I knew I would experience. Don was fair, knowledgeable, and dependable. I am truly sadden by this news. To Renee, Valerie, and Harley -our family offers our most heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

I always bought used cars, because I knew Chambers would be there to make them roadworthy. Always treated fair and given options with Don. A Don quote: "Don't ever buy a Volvo. You won't like the repair costs."

Don was the most kind and honest man I have ever dealt with. Only knowing him professionally from his knowledge of vehicles. He worked on my cars for almost 30 years from the first time I brought in my '86 Cutlass. I was new to the metroplex and he was recommended by a clerk at some gas station I had pulled into. I thought I needed a new head gasket, he told me "No, all you need are new valve cover gaskets." I became a customer for life for this honesty. RIP, Don, you were the best.

Three generations of my family took our cars to Chambers Automotive. It was always a pleasure to recommend Don when anyone asked, Do you know a good mechanic? I sure did! He will be missed.
My sincerest condolences to his family.
