I worked with Don at the Sun-Times for 26 years. He was a wonderful man. I also bowled with Don on Monday nights for several years. I can only imagine the wonderful husband, father and grandfather he was. Don was a true gentleman and a great friend. I once bet him that I could make three rails on the pool table 9 out of 10 times. I missed the first one and then made the next 9. He cursed me for years. Donnie will surely be missed because they don't make them like him anymore.
