O'Carroll, Donal Brendan age 75, suddenly, native of Hospital, Co. Limerick, Ireland. Cherished husband of 47 years of Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Hennessy), retired Sergeant CCDOC, dearest father of Rosemarie CDR, USN ret. (Michael Tooker, CDR USN), Aileen CPD (Brian) O'Grady, Donal R. CPD (Cindy Clark), Joseph Det. CPD (Randi, CPD) and John CPD (Audrey, M.D.), dear grandfather of Patrick, Erik, Claire, Aidan and Catherine O'Carroll, Mary, Caroline and Brendan Tooker and Jack O'Grady, beloved brother of Thomas (Eileen), Marie (the late Roger) McNamara and the late Patrick (Maura) of Hospital, Co. Limerick, fond uncle of Daniel (Gail), Kevin (Maureen), Brian, Deirdre (Paul) Kirk, Marlene, Donal (Martina) and the late Thomas (Rebecca), loving granduncle of many in Ireland and the USA. Friends and family will meet for Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 11 a.m., at St. Ita Church, 5500 N. Broadway. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Gibbons Funeral Home, 5917 W. Irving Park Rd. Don was a foreman painter for the City of Chicago for 25 years.
