Don R. Derning Jr., 67, of Cary, IL, was born on January 25 1956 and passed peacefully on October 4, 2023.

Don was a proud Navy Veteran and lover of Bass Lake, IN.

Preceded in death by parents Don & Fern Derning.

Loving brother to Denise (Paul) Smith, April Delancy, and Dayle (Bill) Nervig. He is survived by his children Don (Linda) Derning, Jackie (Dan) Newman, Chrissy (Corey) Wilhusen, Tim (Barrie) Derning & Joseph (Evey) Derning. Don will be missed by his grandchildren Christian, Brendon, Amber, Ryan, Tyler, Emma, Kaitlyn, Aubrey Grace, Dean, Dylan, & Madison.

The family will be honoring Don at a private ceremony at a later date.
