Born to Antonio and Venera Trionfo in Columbus, Ohio on May 23, 1918. A retired attorney at law and a retired Army "full bird" Colonel. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service while in the South West Pacific Theatre. At home in Columbus, he was past president of the Northland Kiwanis Club and the Piave Club; and also a member of the Aquinas Club. He was a lifelong member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association and gave freely of his time and talent to many other civic/religious organizations including the St. Vincent de Paul Society. His faith in God and service was exemplified by his high moral character, daily attendance at Mass and as a founding member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Preceded in death by wife Patricia (Pat) Moriarty, brother Victor and Phyllis Trianfo, sisters Ann (Fields) and Mary and Nick (Albanese). Survived by nephew, Victor (Susan) Trianfo Jr. and their children, Alison, Alex and Olivia Trianfo; nieces, Rita Trianfo, Gina Trianfo and Joann (Barry) Lincoln and their children, Phillip and Jeremy Lincoln; nephews, William (Billie) Fields and John (Diane) Fields and their children, David and Alex Fields; brother-in-law, Marvin Fields; nephew, Tom (Diane) Albanese and their children, Antonio and Marco Albanese; and special friend, Sylvia Tomei. We are very sorry to learn of Dominic's passing. As long time friends and fellow Parishioners of St. Elizabeth's Church,
we miss the occasional after Mass "Champaign Breakfasts" at the near-by home of good friend Barbara Kellenbarger.
The war stories were rich, especially of "stealing food for his men" from a near-by Navy facility.
Rest in Peace good friend. May the Perpetual Light of Mercy Shine Upon You.
