To the Gacetta family - I was young when our family lived in Barre. We moved away when I was only 10 years old, but I can still clearly remember Dom and the stories my folks would tell me about all of the good times they spent with Dom and Betty. He will be missed dearly and my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Betty, Donna, Sandra, David, Cathy and Mary Beth,

Dom was an Honorary Life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #399 in Central Vermont. He took his 1st degree in 1968 and his 2nd & 3rd degree in 1970. He was a true Catholic Gentleman who lived his faith daily. I am honored to say that I knew Dominic Gacetta as did my father and mother. It meant so much to my family and me when Dom & Betty sent us a card after we received K of C Family of the Month a few years back. We will miss seeing Dom at the annual Council #399 Mother’s day breakfast. Dom will be remembered at the next council meeting. We will pray for him and you at our meeting on 7/12. He will also be remembered at the memorial mass at the 2012 State convention in April.

Yours in Christ,

June 27, 2011

Donna, we've had over 45 years of memories in Maine and Vermont and even when we moved to Rutland and I would run into your Dad he always had that vibrant smile and we'd have a quick chat. You've obviously inherited his knack for getting and keeping friends together. Love to you and your family.

I met Dom at MCI in 1948 where we played on the football team and developed a close friendship. We remained friends for over sixty years. He was a true friend whom I will never forget.
My sincere condolences to Betty and the family.

We remember Dominic as a very quite man, and loved family functions. At one of them Dominic was eating a piece of my ricotta cake. He had to know who made this cake. When he found out, he came right over and pleaded for the recipe. Then one of his daughter's asked me to mail it to her so that she could surprise him with the cake. We got a nice note from him, as well as his daughter, thanking us for the recipe. I guess this became a regular desert for him.
Our sincere sympathy to your whole family. Albert (Sonny) & Alta Aceto
