Diane Austin Obituary

Austin, Diane Delores (April 17, 1950 December 11, 2014) Born on April 17, 1950 in Chicago Illinois to the late Edward Sobolik and Sophia Lach. Diane was the beloved wife of the late Ovid Thomas Austin Jr. (Tom). Survived by her sister, Patricia Tarnow. Preceded in death by her beloved sister, Shirley Anne Johnson. Cherished mother of three children, Jeffery Scott and wife Amy, Timothy Michael, wife Caprice and granddaughter, Casiah, Lisa Marie, and her two children, Jacob Thomas and Sophia Elizabeth. Paul William Stykel, Jacob's father, was also a treasure to mom. Diane graduated from nursing school in 1969 in Chicago. She tirelessly and selflessly worked with her patients providing the best care available. Her heart was boundless. She had a true love for flowers and gardening. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 19th, 2014 in the Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock, VA. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor John C. Yeatts officiating.
