Diana d'Escoto Obituary

d'Escoto, Diana Doreen Davidson 71, formerly of Aurora and Chicago, IL, passed away on September 8, 2010 in Managua, Nicaragua. She was born September 4, 1939, the daughter of Fred and Grace Davidson of Clear Lake, CA. She was united in marriage for 51 years to Rodrigo N. d'Escoto on June 5, 1959. She is survived by Rodrigo and her seven children, Miguel (Beatriz), Rodrigo (Jeannine), Federico (Jackie), David (Kim), Marco (Anyoleth), Javier (Bridget), and Michael Witte, her 21 grandchildren, Miguel, Stephen, Rita, Angelica, Gabriela, Nicholas, Ethan, Freddy, Raquel, Kayla, Nathaniel, Celia, Marisa, Ava, Emmanuel, Marco Miguel, Dolores, Caitlyn, Meaghan, Kristen, Lilly, and two great-grandchildren Olivia and Giulio. She leaves behind a long legacy of working to make the lives of others better which included establishing a Migrant Daycare Center, volunteering at numerous parishes in her lifetime as well as supporting and paying for the education of numerous friends and staff members. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dolores, her parents, Fred and Grace, and her only sister, Gail Davis. Funeral services were held in Managua. In loving memory of Diana, donations will be accepted for the purpose of establishing a fund for Mexican families with children requiring special care or requiring financial assistance due to terminal cancer. I am sorry to see her name listed here; I've missed her for years, having worked with her at the City of Aurora. She always had a smile to give and often accompanied with a needed solution.
