Dewey Howard Obituary

HOWARD Dewey E. Jr. Dewey E. Howard, Jr. of Point Place, died on Monday, January 15, 2007, at the age of 82. Dewey worked as a crib attendant for the Daimler Chrysler plant in Perrysburg for 21 years, retiring in 1987. He was also a life member of V.F.W. Post # 3265. Dewey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Margaret Howard Sr., and son, Dennis Howard. Left to cherish his memory are loving wife of 59 years, Alice; sons, Daniel (Dawn) and David (April) Howard; grandchildren, Dawne, Danielle, John, Lauren, Jordan and Ashley; 5 great-grandchildren, and sister, Betty Schnatterly. Family will receive visitors in the David R. Jasin Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., (419-726-1583) on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, January 19, 2007 with prayers at 9:30 a.m. before continuing to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Gerald Chmiel officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
