I wish I could have attended but the border was not allowing Canadians to cross.

Dennis, where do I begin? What I am about to say, you already knew, but I feel the need to send it to the spiritual ethers. Thank you for your constant kindness, as I was a young man in Chicago and you were one of the first people I met, and actually liked. Years of bowling, parties and like-minded conversation made you a mental giant to me. You are gone too soon, and I know that while our chats and visits may have faded in the past decade or so, my love and loyalty to you will be here forever. Thank you for making my life a better place

I have such fond memories of Dennis, and the great times and tremendous laughs we had together. I will always remember fondly his and Bob's legendary Halloween parties that I was fortunately invited to go to my first year in Chicago, in 1985 by Tom Marano and Mike Lawler. The generosity Dennis and Bob showed by opening their home to all of those people was unparalleled! We had been in closer touch these last couple of years since he first got sick, yet it's those great times and all of the non-stop laughs that will live on in my memories. He will be deeply missed.
