Dennis Nannenga Obituary

Nannenga, Dennis "The Eggman" 60, of DeMotte, passed away on August 30, 2014 with his family at his side. Born February 9, 1954 in Rensselaer, Indiana to the late George (Sena Walstra) Nannenga. He attended Kankakee Valley School, and was a graduate of Portage High School. He then married Jennifer Sisk on November 17, 1985 at the Baptist Church of DeMotte. He was a self employed egg merchant. Dennis started working at the age of 15, when his mother would drive him, until he got his license to work on his own, he would then deliver door to door, to small stores and restaurants. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of DeMotte, where he was very active, he was a Sunday school teacher, leader and coordinator of Friendship at Community CRC, he also loved greeting his fellow friends at church, as well as traveling, spending time with his family, and grandchildren. He had a big heart and loved helping everyone, he also made time to visit the sick, and kept up with his politics. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Richard John. Survived by loving wife, Jennifer of DeMotte; children, Audrey Nannenga of Indianapolis, Bryan (Patty) of Indianapolis, Charles (Aimee) Clark of Remington, Erica (Kyle) Johnson of DeMotte, Joshua (Danielle) Nannenga of DeMotte; siblings, Kenneth (Joyce) of DeMotte, Charles (Karen) of DeMotte, and Edward (Marilyn) of DeMotte; grandchildren, Brady, Addison, Garrit, Olivia, Seth, Isaiah, and Liam. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the First Reformed Church, 9991 W. 1200 N., DeMotte, IN 46310. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Reformed Church, with Pastors John Huff and James Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Holland Cemetery. Memorials can be made to World Vision. Dennis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
