Dennis Kurowski Obituary
Of Chicago Heights, formerly of Hazel Crest and Glenwood, passed on March 7, 2024 after a long battle with CHF at the age of 81. He passed peacefully, at home, surrounded by his friends, wife and daughter. Dennis retired from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 2012. He also worked for Northwest Memorial Hospital and LTV Steel. He proudly served in the Illinois National Guard and on the Glenwood Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eleanor (Slawinski) Kurowski. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Eagan and their daughter, Emily, his sister, Roberta (Erwin) Bogs, along with his other daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved mowing the grass at his home and eating tomatoes freshly picked from the garden. Memorial services will be private

What wonderful talks we had whenever I visited Dennis, Beth and Em at their home in Chicago Heights. We must have laughed at least half the time.

I will never forget the wonderful you did for me. You came up from your floor at the hospital where Dennis was. You said we have the same type of room you have. I have a pillor blanket and sheets on. the couch you are coming down to sleep. Dennis welcomed me as an old friend and I feel asleep right away. Tim came and got me and said I had better come up because they took the oxogen off of you. Thank you both for your generous offer.
