Some of my fondest memories on the CPD were with Dennis as my FTO back in 1990: practicing "pursuit and obstacle course driving" in the snow behind a factory in Irving Park Road, going for post-Uncle Tannous or Red Lion dinner walking patrols down Lincoln Avenue or him smiling with that cigarette in his mouth saying, "Give me the schlussels (keys), I'M the Car Commander, kid." God Bless Dennis and his family. Damn, he was too young and I miss him. Former PPO Rob Smitka, CPD

I had the opportunity to work with Dennis a few times in the 80's and his smile and happy disposition will remain with me as it was then. Always the professional officer and a pleasure to work with, I am sure he brought much happiness to his family. My sincere sympathy.
