Delmer Morris Obituary

Delmer L. Morris, 80, of Dyke, departed this life October 23, 2005, at his residence. Born October 9, 1925, he was a son of the late George and Lettie Morris. Mr. Morris was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Carpenters Local 1856 of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 56 years. He loved to fish and play his guitar. In addition to his parents, his wife, Clarice R. Morris and a brother, Thurman E. Morris, also preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Delmer L. Morris, Jr.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild, all of Langhorne, Pennsylvania; a brother, Donnell Morris; a sister-in-law, Sheryl Morris of Dyke; four nieces; one nephew and nine great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 27, at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Chapel, Quinque, with the Rev. C. C. Kurtz officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dyke. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greene County Rescue Squad, P. O.
