This is a poem i wrote for my grandpa.
My heart hurts
as our familys do too
I wish you didn't have to leave
because now i'm missing you
You were a wonderful grandpa
husband, uncle, dad, and brother
you were definitely one of a kind
not like any other
You were an inspiration to many
you were my inspiration too
but now all thats left is memories
which we will always have of you
You'll forever be in our hearts
even if your not here
i love you Grandpa Wright
even though you can't be near.

Dear Audrey, Pattie, and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of "Mr. Wright".. as I knew him. He was such a wonderful man. The memories I have of growing up on Forest Ave and hanging out with Pattie, cutting through your back yard to go to Wentworth Woods shopping center.. will always remain. God bless you and your family. My deepest sympathy.

Dear Audrey $ Family-
Sometimes it seems like yesterday we all were playing in the circle or cutting through your backyard to go to Woolworths.Having lost my Father, I know how you must feel... My heart breaks for you. Some say it gets easier with time. I don't agree. However, somehow all the wonderful memories make life a bit easier to swallow. I know my dad is with Dave and they are laughing about the "good old days". God Bless and take care of each other.
Fondly, Cindi Pallick

Dear Audrey, Dave Jr, Patti, Bobby and John,
I am so sorry for the pain and heartbreak you are all going through. I loved your dad. I cannot imagine a better childhood than the one that we had with both our fathers. Your Dad always looked out for us all (He always seemed to know where we were, and what we were doing in his stores and at parties after work!)
I imagine Dave is in heaven and my Father, his dear friend Bob, is showing him around his new digs. I can just see them talking about all the fun our families had together over the years and of course going out to dinner and having a beer!
May the Dear Lord Bless Dave and all of you! May All the Angels in Heaven hold you tight in a warm hug. I Love You All.
Always,
Mary Beth Melby-Lawton and Michael Lawton
