The real question for me now, is what would David like others to say about him? For example, how kind and caring he was, and his sense of humor and adventure kept him young and vibrant. When we went on a canoeing/camping trip in Michigan, I knew my outdoor adventures from that moment on would pale in comparison to the drama we experienced. Always one to figure it out as he went, it was amazing really. Love to all the Spagat family. You have each touched my heart. All of you.

I was very sad to learn of David Spagat's passing. Dave, as we knew him when he came to England as a soldier during the war, was most amusing, kind and generous to all us kids, who were so excited to have found an American cousin. I was sorry not to have gotten to know him better in later years.

Dear Mrs. Spagat.
I just learned of David's passing and wanted to send my deepest sympathy. I do want to thank you and he for your support through the years of our shelter, CatNap from the Heart in LaGrange Park. We truly appreciate your gifts to help the animals in our care.

Dear Pat, Susie, Michael, Bob,
I am sorry for your loss. David was such a big precense to all fortunate enough to have known him. Always with something witty to say on the tip of his tongue, and the kindest heart. He is cherished and greatly missed.

My condolences to Dave's whole family. He always had a spark of humor and intelligence in anything he commented upon. It looked to me like he loved his life and family. He will be missed.
