Rogala, David J. age 44, of Brookfield, IL and Fairfax, VA, beloved son of Robert and Susan Rogala (nee Stajenka), dearest brother of Robert, Cara (Anthony) Spalla, Leanne (Edward) Digan, Susan (Steven) Ciangi, and the late Alex Rogala, nephew of Vivian Rogala and Charlotte Cox, much loved uncle of Sean, Anthony, Frankie, and Sammy. David was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and worked as a paralegal and court reporter for the Judge Advocate General (JAG) in Germany and Virginia. He received the Meritorious Service Medal among many other awards. After leaving the Army, David was a freelance steno and verbatim court reporter in Chicago, Boston and Fairfax with certifications of CCR, CSR, CVR-CM. David was published in NCRA's, NVRA's and Intersteno's print and electronic journals. Visitation Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 W. 31st St., Brookfield, IL 60513. Will lie in state Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to time of Service 10:00 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3144 Home Ave. Berwyn, IL 60402. Interment Private.
