David Miller Obituary

PRINCETON — David Thomas Miller, 75, of the Old Springs Road, Princeton, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Princeton Community Hospital following a sudden illness.Born November 25, 1934 in Princeton, he was the son of the late John Ward Miller and Lena Martin Miller.Mr. Miller was a former crane operator for Compton Construction Company in Princeton. He loved animals, especially his cats and the neighbor's dog, "Sparky."He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.Survivors: His daughter, Dana Allen of Athens; special friends and caregivers, Ted and Kyra Alvis, and T.A. Alvis, all of Princeton; a sister-in-law, Margaret Miller of the Mercer Springs Road.Mr. Miller's wishes will be honored, the body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton.Mr. Miller also requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can he made to the Mercer County Animal Shelter, 961 Shelter Road, Princeton WV 24740.Online condolence can be made to www.memorialfd.comThe Miller family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
