I will miss my cousin Bub, he was the kindest, warmest, caring person I have ever known. One of my warmest memories of Bub was when my father died Bub and Bud used to come over our house and check on my mom and us kids . I will always thank him for that. I remeber the time that Bub came over and we had a drinking contest with jack daniels and I won . And at every family gathering he would bring the men over to me and bet them they couldn't drink me under the table. That was the crazy side of Bub. So now to my cousin I want to say goodbye and that I love you and I will miss you very much. Love you Bub Lisa Curtis (Dale and Jane Mayle's daughter)

To the family,

Bub was wonderful person and always in for a laugh. He was loved by all who knew him. Bub will be forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten. He had been coming to church recently and he is now in the hands of a Just God. May God be with you all in your time of need.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

"Bubby" and I came together over 17 years ago. And were married seven years ago. Over the last few years we had lost our way and ended our marriage a few months ago. I want to share with you a few things about this man some of you may not know. He was a man that worked hard, lived hard and loved even harder. He loved our children and grandchildren unconditionally, he believed in God and he loved his mother. He loved both his parents Virginia & Bud. He also loved his brothers and sisters. Bub had a heart of gold and would do anything he could for anyone. He had a streak of ornriness that was as big as his heart those that knew him excepted that because it was part of who he was. He loved music and loved to dance, his favorite dance partner was his Mom. Bub did not fear death, he excepted it as part of his journey. Those of us he has left behind might say it's to soon, we might want the oppurtunity to say one last thing to him. But the Lord has made his decision and sent him home to be with Jesus and his Mom. Don't cry for Bub he wouldn't want that, he would want you to reach out to the ones he's left behind. The ones that are numb with the pain of losing him. And when Bub comes to mind in the future, remember how he made you laugh, remember how he touched your lives, because if you ever met him he touched you.
Raise your glasses and toast the man that he was and the life that he lived, Bub lived his life exactly how he wanted he believed there was no other way for it to be done. Bub will shine down on his children and grandchildren and walk with them for the rest of thier days, I believe his work is not yet done and somehow from Heaven above he'll continue to touch each and every one of you.

Its so hard to put into words how it feels to loose someone you care for, but when it happens so suddenly, with out warning it makes it all the harder to handle. Bubby will be missed so much by so many. He was the life of the party, always there to hug. With him dressed in his Jeans and button down shirt and baseball cap with the round bill I believe that Bubby will be with us all for a very long time to come in our thoughts and in our hearts. Brian and Jesse I want you to know that the lord will help you through, just have faith, and what he can't help with remember you have a huge family that can.
