My condolences to the family. Dr. Lee was my pediatcian when I lived in Chicago. I will never forget the many visits to his office he was a very good doctor. He always told me my curved back would give me a hard time when I got pregnant and it did. He was a very intelligent man. He diagnosed me with pneumonia many times and treated me. I wish there was more doctors who cared and actually know what they are doing now a days. I am a registered nurse and I work NICU. Wish I could of been at the funeral. He truly was a great man. Thanks for all your care and kindness Dr. Lee. You will never be forgotten.

Dear Lee Family,

We were so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad when we were at the office last week. Dr. Lee truly was a special man. He treated all of his patients/parents as if they were his only patient. He will truly be missed.

Please accept my condolences at David's passing. Through the years I had many interactions with him and he taught me many of the intangibles of being a good Dr.

Dear Cousins, Aunts and Uncles,

We are all saddened by Uncle David's passing. While being the father, grandfather and great-grandfather to all my wonderful 'Chicago' cousins, he has been my 'go to' Uncle in the Chicago area for more than the 32 years I have resided in the area.

Over the many years, Uncle David has given me a place to stay, fed me/us, lent me his car, entertained me (Cub's games, Superbowl trip, etc.) been my/our Dr./pediatrician, given me advice and has been there for me as his older brother (my father-Gilbert W. Lee) would have been.

We will all miss him greatly.

With love and heavy hearts,
Cousin Gilbert, Kyoko and Hana

Dear Lee Family,

My husband Paul and I are very sad to hear about your Dad's passing. We live out of state and wish we could share our condolences in person.

Dr. Lee was a one in a million. How rare to find a doctor who is equally intelligent as he was kind. He was my family's pediatrician from the late 60' thru the 1980's. His soft-spoken and kind personality brought calm to us 6 nervous kids waiting for check-ups or when we were feeling sick.

I remember how Dr. Lee and my Mom would chat and catch up during our appointments. He always talked about his children with such pride and love.

Later on, as an adult, I was happily surprised to learn that your Dad is my husband's Godfather and his family's doctor, too. All 12 kids! Turns out he and my father-in-law met in Med School and became friends. They had practices down the hall from each another at Old Orchard and kept in touch all of these years.

We were happy to visit with him at our wedding and my in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Your Dad was a special man. But of course, you all know that better than anyone.

Thinking of you and hoping that all of your happy memories help ease your sadness.

Take Care,
Michelle and Paul Nold

Dr. Lee was our doctor for our six children for 25 years. My children really liked him and I trusted him with their care without a doubt ever. I really enjoyed his sense of humor! The two children to whom I spoke today about his passing both said, "We lost one of the good ones!"

Dear Children of Dr. Lee,
I was very saddened to hear of the loss of your dear father. I had the privelege of working with Dr. Lee at 64 Old Orchard for about 4 years circa 1990. He also was my younger daughters pediatrician. He was a great boss and doctor. I am sure your memories of him will carry you through this difficult time.

Dr. David Lee's first words to me following the delivery of our severely premature child thirty-six years ago were, "You have a son, but he has only a slight chance to live. We will do our best to save him." For the next 140 consecutive days he expertly oversaw the care of our son in neonatal intensive care. He did save him.
Our son is a happy, healthy man today because of Dr. Lee's superb skill and dedication.
Our family will always be ineffably grateful to you, Dr. Lee.

To All Of David's Children and Family,
I was very sorry to hear of David's passing. We haven't been in touch for several years except for one time when I visited him at the nursing home.
We had many good talks for so many years when we both had our offices on the fourth floor of the Old Orchard Professional Building.
We each used to escape from our own office and find refuge for a short time in the other's office when things got so hectic that we needed a break.
He was a great guy. Please accept my sincere condolences.
