David Carlson Obituary

My parents have been the Dave's friends for years and my heart was saddened to hear of Dave's passing. He was so sweet to come to my wedding in 2006 and it was great for everyone to get together. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave s. and all who knew and loved Dave C.

I had the opportunity to work with Dave on multiple occasions when he examined our bank. He was always a pleasure to work with; he was a great guy..My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I've only known the Daves for about six years and can probably count on my fingers the number of occasions I've seen them, but in that time, I've come to love them dearly. The shock and sadness of Dave's passing cannot be overstated, but fortunately for us, neither can the warmth and joy of his spirit.

After John Lennon's death, Yoko Ono said something along the lines of: "When John was alive, we spent much of our time together. But now, we are together all of the time." Dave is incomprehensible to us now, but he is with us still.

In a single second, the lives of my partner Art, Myself, and all those who loved Dave were changed forever. As close friends of "the Dave's" for over 20 years, this lose is tragic and devastating. We pray for Dave Carlson, his loving partner Dave Schallhammer, and the entire family. Dave's spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

We have just returned from visiting family in Ohio - and sat down this morning to check our messages. Time just seemed to stop when we read this terrible news. We are just shocked. Neither of us can begin to understand how this could have happened to such a wonderful, considerate person. We remember Dave as a kind, caring man who enjoyed this life.

David S - our hearts go out to you during this time. We are reading this too late to make it in time for the funeral - but you are in our thoughts. We thought the world of both of you. We never thought of you as landlords, but as friends.

Dearest Dave and the Carlson Family - My heart is breaking for you, in the loss of your loved one. My family loved him also. We are truly better people for knowing Dave. I will forever remember his laugh it was contagious and genuine. I pray for peace and comfort to you all.

First, let me express my sincere condolences for this tragedy. What a loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dave C. as my wife and I bought our first home from Dave C. and Dave S. They were both very supporting and understanding. Further, Dave continued to prove himself a fine and warm person by staying in touch with friends and neighbors including our neighbor Joanne after the death of her mother Rita.

I know that Dave is in Heaven experiencing the grace of God.

In this time of grief and mourning and while my heart is breaking, I also find myself remembering all the good times with Dave. His joy, his enthusiasm for life and the way he has touched my life and made me a better person. I know he has touched all who knew him. He lives on in our hearts and memories. My thoughts and prayers are with Dave S. and Dave's family.

We have been stunned and saddened by the news of Dave's death, and will miss the conversations that we enjoyed when Dave came over to work or check on the property across the street from our house on Orton Court. I did not know David but I am a fellow Forest Park Resident and I grieve for the loss of "one of our own". How tragic and sad!! Please accept my deepest sympathies...I pray that God embraces David's soul & spirit and that He send Angels to your side to guide you along the pathway of bereavement into understanding and enlightenment.
