Carol (Mom),

I want you to know that My Father was a better person for knowing you and that you were the best thing that happened to him after my mother passed away. You made him so incredibly happy and the two of you were a match made in heaven. The Love between you both was quite obvious. I also want you to know that nothing will change!

To The Families:

My wife Anne and I are sorry for your loss.

Mom:

I still remember us kids trying to convince you two to get married on Valentine's day.
And although we can't take full credit for that, I'm glad we were able to help in picking out the date.

Barb, Dave and the grandkids:

By being lucky enough to know Dave, gave me the chance to meet you as well. I know that one finds immortality in one's offspring. I've seen the best of Dave in all of you.

Candie:

That includes you too. His wit and wisdom has rubbed off on you as well.

Dave:

You'll be missed. Thanks for your help. You didn't just help me but taught me how to help myself and others as well. Even if it was just making them smile because I told them one of your jokes! =)

Rest. Enjoy. You've earned it. Put in a good word for us up there.

And to everyone:

Anne and I send our prayers and ourlove.

I was telling mom earlier that you are the best fish she ever reeled in...and I mean that sincerely. You were the one who showed her what it REALLY felt like to be loved. I remember teasing you both about being tired of hearing the sound of 'water dripping'...which was actually the sound of the kisses you shared.

David,

I want to thank you first for loving my mother. The love that I saw shared between you still touches me today. Secondly, I want to thank you for taking me in to your home, and family in Texas, 11 years ago. If it were not for you, with your patience, and generosity, I would never know the opportunities I've had.

I love you, David.

David, I will remember your compassion on the day I called you to ask if you would get a message to Don when he was in Nigeria to tell him of my mothers death, you were so thoughful and so full of sympathy as to even suggest sending for Don to come home. So, David even though you are no longer here, your life leaves its mark in deed, in thought and in memory-and becomes thus a part of our life and of eternity. Phyllis Gleason
