Dear Carol and Family, I am saddened to hear of Darwin's passing. He was so much a part of my life, from when I was much younger and he was working with Wild Kingdom, to singing to me with my dad at Riccardo's when I became engaged, to a multitude of other song and conversation filled moments. He will always have a place in my heart. I imagine that he and dad are both joyfully singing together once again. Much love, Debbie Zelonky Seewald

Dear Caro, Melanie, Mindy, and Kids,

I was very sorry to hear of Darwin's passing and I wish I had the opportunity to see you all more often. I will always remember his love of you all, his zest and exuberance for life and, of course, the duets with Rick and Riccardo's Restaurant. A new star burns bright in heaven.

My most heartfelt condolences on the passing of your sweet Darwin. He was such a charming, warm & caring Gentleman. I have fond memories of acting with him in "The Sunshine Boys" at Drury Lane South. He always had a twinkle in his eyes & warmth was part of his sharing personality. He will be missed.
Warmest regards, Rick Plastina

Dear Aunt Carol, I will always remember Uncle Darwin singing at my wedding and discussing marrying your best friend. I was young then and didn't know the true gift he was given me, but I did feel special having my uncle sing me a song that day. He like my dad were two in a million. Here are some hugs to help you through the pain. O O O O Love Linda

I was sorry to read of Darwin's passing in the paper today. I knew him in 1961-62. We used to hang out a folk song place on Rush Street called Cafe Oblique. Darwin got a guitar which he called his prop. He learned three chords so he could accompany himself in a couple of songs. Between sets we would sit together and discuss things both serious and humorous, I was drafted soon after and never saw him again. However I do remember him well and hope life was kind to him.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. Take comfort in knowing that God promises to wipe every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Yes, God is going to do away with death. How comforting!
