Darrel Parnell Obituary

Darrel L. Parnell, 77, a longtime resident of Gresham, Oregon, a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served aboard the U.S.S. Wichita as a parachute rigger and flew reconnaissance aircraft rescuing downed pilots, and a Journeyman Electrician for Marion Electric who was involved in the construction of the Grand Coulee and Dalles Dams, passed away in Gresham on Sunday, June 18, 2000. Private cremation will precede the services. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, June 23, 2000, 2 p.m., at Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 520 West Powell Boulevard, Gresham. The family suggests that contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
