Just thinking of uncle Dan the other day when we all use to go to J & Rs tap lots of fun with the family missed those days

Danny Schmidt - A true Nelson Boy! Who never forgot his Nelson Street roots. Danny was like a Big brother for me growing up, I would not be the person I am today if not for Danny.

It's impossible to adequately convey the grief and loss I feel about losing Dan. I want to extend my deepest sympathy and wishes for peace to Laura, Danny, Ricky, Jamie and his extended family. So many memories roll by: St. Al's, hanging out in his basement, softball, concerts, etc. Dan cut an imposing figure, but had one of the biggest hears of anyone I knew. A more loyal friend would be impossible to come by. Keep rockin' til we meet again, Dan!

We were at St Alphonsus together, great guy my condolences to the family. Rest in peace Dan.

Danny was like another Brother to me.. My Brothers played baseball softball(in the alley)with him and I remember them playing football in the street..He will be greatly missed by many people..God took him home to rid him from his pain and now he's back with his Mom&Dad,Brothers and friends.. He was always kind to me and I'll cherish the great memories that I have..R.I.P. I'll never forget you!!

Gonna miss you Dan! I don't think I have any memories of growing up without you. The porch, Kathys store, baseball in the alley and football in the street. And one heck of a softball player. Loved his family and friends. Our loss is heavens gain.

Sorry for the Lose Dan and I shared same birthday same age . We went to high school together played baseball together and attended several Hawks games together Dan will be missed. Go Hawks go greyhounds
