Sonny, Karen, Tony and Tracy,

Greg Flores just stopped in our office and informed Kate Kerry and I of your sudden and tragic loss. Words cannot express the shock and sorrow we feel for your loss. I'll be giving Mom and Dad a call later as it is to let them know. This makes those days as neighbors and fellow scouts distant, yet seem like yesterday at the same time. Our prayers and sympathies go out to your family.

To the Evensen Family
I extend my deepest sympathies. I cherish my memories of the old wresting days on the south side, and Dan will always be part of them. The Bochenski family sends it prayers to you. May God be with you through these days, and you should always remember that Dan is a true champion and one that everyone admires. God Bless.

Dear Evensen Family,
What a shock it was to see Dan's name in the Our Lady of the Ridge church bulletin. I remember him well during my years at Marist. What a fine, young man he was, and how many lives he touched. I am truly sorry for your loss, and I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God Bless!

I was the VP of Dan's unit at MetLife for a number of years until my retirment in 2000. I always found him entremely competent, caring and dedicated to his friends at work. He will be missed by many!!!!

I was not in the office last week so this is the first opportunity I have had to sign the guest book for Dan. I worked with Dan for all the time I have been with MetLife on prospects and renewals for our customers. I appreciated his knowledge and patience in dealing with me on groups that we worked on together. His humor and ability to help no matter how much work there was is something I will remember forever. I will miss Dan greatly and my sympathy to his family and friends.

I wrestled with Dan at Marist (more like he threw me around the wrestling room, called me a "fishy"). He was always good to me by providing advice on how to get better...and he was a great role model. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Evensen family.

The Entire Evensen Family,
I worked with Dan for 12 years, and he made me laugh and knew how to make the most difficult days seem less stressful. We loved to chat about football, especially the Badgers. Dan was a true friend, confidant, and a highly regarded person that left an impression in everyone's lives. May God keep you strong through this time.

Evensen Family,

Words cannot express the sadness that I feel today for the loss of such a good friend and coworker. I have known Dan for many years and have shared what we called the "South-side" bond being in the Northwest Suburbs. Dan was a wonderful person. You can be proud that you raised a fine young man and know that he was a friend to many. May the memories you have of Dan keep him forever in your hearts.

Dan was a great friend and he made such an impact on my life. He was responsible for me meeting my wife. I have so many memories of him with UW-wrestling, Jefferson St. and after, I will remember him forever. Our family is deeply saddened by Dan's untimely death. Our thoughts are with you.

It has been many years since I have thoguht of Dan. Often that is the way of life. People enter and lieave our lives and we do not do enough to keep in contact with them, even though they were important to you at one time. Dan was a teammate at Wisconsin. Although we all had our different personalities, he was a great example in terms of work effort, dedication, and a true friend.

I was honored to know Dan when I taught at Marist High School. I will never forget Dan’s kindness, his hard work, his dedication and his loving family. Although I have not seen Dan for a number of years, I remember well the positive mark he left on his classmates, his fellow wrestlers and the faculty at Marist. My thoughts and prayers are with the Evensen family.

Sorry for the lost. My Condolence to the Evenson family. I had the honor to know Dan by wrestling and working out with him on the UW wrestling team. I had a chance to know him and his brother Tony. He will be missed. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

Dan and I worked together for 13 years and during that time I had the pleasure of knowing him as a co-worker, friend and member of our large family here at work. Dan will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his family.

To the Evensen Family:
I've known Dan for many years working with him at MetLife. I truly considered him a friend. When I think of him the first thing that comes to mind is his contagious laugh. For some reason he and I were always on the same page when it came to a sense of humor. Sometimes we would just pass in the hall and start laughing at each other for no reason at all. He will be missed. His passing brings many people great sadness and yet he has touched so many lives in positive ways that cannot be described. Dan - I wish you peace and rest. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Evensen family.

I've worked with Dan at MetLife since 1995, and have fond memories of his banter with many people in the office. One person in particular was also fairly new to our office at the time, and Dan came by one day talking about how refreshed he felt after having used the hot tub and health club on the fifteenth floor of our building at lunch. This generated inquiries from the gullible about how to get access, and Dan started to say, "just use your ID card . . ." and then burst out laughing hysterically (there are only 12 floors in our building, and no health club). He was always willing to help out, was a great resource, knew the answers, and kept many of us grinning. My deepest sympathies to your family for your loss . . . we'll all miss him very much.

Mr. and Mrs. Evensen and family. Dan and I worked together at MetLife for a number of years. It was certainly a pleasure to have had the opportunity to know and work with Dan during that time. Dan would come and check on me all the time to make sure I was doing OK and also to pull one of his jokes on me. He was great at that and I loved it as it always made my day. That was Dan's way of showing he really cared about you. You should be so proud to have raised a son that was as loving and caring as Dan. I will always remember him and the joy that he brought.

Dan the Man was what I called him at Marist. I wrestled with Danny for 4 years and I never found a more dedicated and true person. I had been honored to know his family and to hang out with Danny and I know I already feel his loss even though it can not compare with what his family is going through. The Noonan's will miss you Dan, you have made my life a fuller one just knowing you.

Nancy and I were very sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Bill Weick informed us early Thursday. Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your sudden loss. We have great memories of a wonderful and loving Evensen family through great times in recruiting and wrestling at Wisconsin. May your many special memories of this wonderful young man give all of you strength in this trying time.

I had the privilege of working with Dan at MetLife for over the past 13 years. He and I actually started on the exact same day and were friends since. I could always count on some little joke or prank from him weekly and sometimes daily. He offered a wealth of knowledge and wonderful sense of humor. I will certainly miss him. My heart goes out to each family member.

I worked with Dan at MetLife since 1997. He was a wonderful person and always willing to help. He had a great sense of humor and knew his job very well. I learned quite a bit of underwriting from Dan. I will miss him dearly.

Mr & Mrs Evensen and siblings.
As you celebrate Dan's life, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I've had the privilege of knowing and working with Dan for almost 14 years here at MetLife, I think. I found out what a truly, great guy he was, with a nice personality and always quick to smile. I'm going to miss him and will never forget him as will most of us here. God Bless You All.
