Daisy Williams Obituary

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Windermere Nursing Home, Mrs. Daisy Williams, of Maxwell Street, Augusta. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Cedar Grove Baptist Church (Harlem) with Rev. William Mack, Pastor, Cobb Grove Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams was First Lady of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband, Rev. Israel Willie Williams, Augusta; one son, Raymond (Christine) Hunter Jr., Lithonia; two sisters, Rachel Ramsey and Mary (David) Douglas, Augusta; three brothers, Bob Howard and James (Darlene) Howard, both of Augusta and Tom Howard, Long Beach, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Pamela and Tamika Hunter and Yvette (Edward) Williams; two great-grandchildren, Briana and Brittny Williams; three godchildren, Evander Hampton, Pamela Dorsey and Derrick Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. So sorry to hear of Daisy's death. She was a good friend and a lot of help when we opened Copeland School back in the late 50's. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
