Daile G. Vance Sr., 60, of Dalton, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Hamilton Medical Center.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Faye Vance of the residence; daughters, Mindy Vance of Elyria, Ohio, and Katy Vance of Chippewa Ohio; sons, Daile G. Vance Jr. of Dalton, Robert E. Vance of Knoxville, Tenn., and Charles D. Vance of Dalton; sisters, Janet Dix and Merlene Vance, both of West Virginia; brothers, Holly and Hobert Vance, both of West Virginia and David Vance of Moorehead, Ky.; grandchildren, Daile G. III, Monica, Hawk, Hunter, Nicholas, Logan and James Koty; nieces and nephews.The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Pritchett officiating.Burial will be at United Memorial Gardens.
