Gomez (Medina), Cruz

Cruz Medina Gomez, age 98, passed peacefully August 30, 2021. Born on January 31, 1923 in Mermack, OK to Seferino and Concepcion. Married Frank Gomez on April 29, 1951. She was preceeded in death by her devoted husband Frank and loving son Frankie. Beloved mother of Nancy Gomez and Cindy (Frank) DeMarco. Cherished grandmother of Kristin (Steve) Miller, Louis DeMarco, Sonia Harper, Shannon (Dwayne) Scott, Deven Cooper, Micaela Cooper, Zachary Scott and Ciara Scott. Loving Aunt of Rose Medina and John (Kathy) Almeida. Beloved pet Wrigley.

Cruz was an artist who enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. She retired from Mercy Home in 1985.

She will be remembered as being strong, fearless, funny and deeply loved by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held in 2022. Arrangements entrusted to Pomierski Funeral Home. Donations to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) will be appreciated.
