I will remember Clay, how gracious, and always in good spirits, even when sailing Lake Michigan. I remember him cooking a barbeque for all on his boat one Sunday afternoon especially. It was beautiful.
He was a great father and husband. We all benefitted from his kindness, he is a blessed memory always.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I will always remember Clay and his cheerful, happy ways. I will always remember you both taking Dan, myself and mom and dad out sailing. What fun we had! He was a very special man. Hold on to your sweet memories and know that he will always be with you.

To June and Family,
Our families grew up together in Sauganash and I remember Clay fondly. He would pretend to "steal" our noses and was always fun. We all loved it when our families did something together. My father especially seemed to have a lot of fun with Clay. We will miss Clay and his wonderful personality.

Clay as in MUD and Huston as in TEXAS. Clay was a visionary, with character and integrity not historically seen in our industry. He taught me so much about people and life

June & Family, I am sorry about your loss. You and your children were so important in Clay's life, and as a young woman with young children of my own, we would share funny stories about our kids. Clay was an encourager to me and many others. It was my privilege to know him. God bless you all.

June--my deepest heartfelt sympathy. Watching the love and devotion you showed to Clay during his last days and his dependence on you--just wanting to know you were there--was one of the most touching and beautiful things in life I have ever witnessed !
I know how very much you will miss him June. My thoughts go out to you and your children during this time. I think a life celebration is an absolutely wonderful tribute to a man I and so many, loved very much. I know the many times you told me you were so thankful for Meg, Chris, Claudia and Pete who helped you through these difficult days.
Much love--
