Claude Edward Hawk, 84, of McClure, Pennsylvania, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, an employee before his retirement in 1980 at Avtex Fibers in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, passed away at Ohesson Manor on the early morning of Saturday, July 7, 2001, following many years of ill health. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday, July 9, 2001, 4-9 p.m., at McClure Chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes, North Brown Street, McClure. The family will receive friends on Monday, 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Masonic services are scheduled for Monday, 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 10:30 a.m., at Mt. Bethel United Church of Christ, officiated by the Rev. Donald Wise. Interment will be at McClure Union Cemetery.
