Shapiro, Clara 91, (nee Caplin), of Flossmoor, formerly of the Roseland Community of Chicago, beloved wife of the late Irving, loving mother of Marcia Sone, Elinor (Richard) Gordon, Avis (Jeffrey Norby) Shapiro and Paula (William McNicholas Jr.) Shapiro, cherished grandmother of David (Elizabeth) and Daniel (Teresa) Sone, Julie (Andrew) Blickstein, Mitchell (fiancee Kate Shank) Gordon, Aaron and Alissa Norby, great-grandmother of Renee, Joshua, Hannah, Raymond and Zoey. Graveside service Monday, 11 a.m., at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the charity of your choice. I was very sorry to learn of the loss of your dear Mother. I knew Clara from the days in Roseland as we were a small community at Shomre Hadas. I had great respect and felt your Mother was a friendly, sweet lady and for a number of years did see her when I went to Florida. Please accept my sincere condolences.
