Claire DuPont Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, RI October 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Margaret M. (Valentine) Tracy.
Claire was a graduate of Pawtucket East High School, Pawtucket, RI, class of 1955. In addition she was a graduate of Yuba College of Marysville, CA LVN program.
Mrs. DuPont was employed for several years at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital as a LPN. She had lived in Dover since 1976. As an Air Force wife she and the family traveled extensively. She had previously lived in Rome, NY, Falmouth MA, Rialto, CA, San Bernardino, CA, Sunnyvale, CA, Bossier City, LA, Bangor, ME, Mt. Clements, MI and Anchorage, AK, during her husband’s USAF career.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Besides traveling throughout the USA and oversees, she enjoyed visiting with her family. She was involved in the activities of US Power Squadrons.
Family members include her husband Roger E. DuPont of Dover whom she married April 27, 1957; two sons, David J. DuPont and his wife Debra O. DuPont of Boulder, CO and Daniel M. DuPont and his wife Deborah D. DuPont of Cabin John, MD; one brother Dr. Joseph L. Tracy and his wife Phyllis Tracy of East Greenwich, RI and Naples, FL; four grandchildren, Mariel C. DuPont, Gabriel W. DuPont, Joseph D. DuPont, Zachary E. DuPont; several nieces and nephews.
Claire was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Ann DuPont on June 21, 1999.
Relatives and friends may call Monday from 7-9 PM at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, 150 Central Ave, Dover with the Rev. Robert Cole, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Flowers are acceptable or memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice Care, 642 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820.

Dearest Roger,
Although we only had the opportunity of being in your company a few times it was always a pleasure. At Tyler's birthday parties and the christening Claire and I parked ourselves next to each other and had quite the talks, about our children and your travels. She was a very interesting lady to talk with. Whenever Dawn was planning a party, first question would be, will Uncle Roger and Aunt Claire be there(and that's the truth)? She will be missed by many I'm sure.
We hope to see you again. Visit with Dawn and Bill, they think the world of you.

Ellen and I knew Claire as the lovely and wonderful wife of Roger, one of the outstanding agents, who worked with me at Pease AFB. We were saddened to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Roger and your family.

Dick and I will always remember comparing recipes with Claire, (a gourmet cook that I admired always) at many Squadron potlucks and events. God bless Roger and his family as we say goodbye to a very classy lady. We shall miss you, pretty Claire.

I met Claire & Roger in 1975 when I was their sponsor for AF OSI at Pease AFB, NH. Claire was my close friend and was there for me during a very traumatic time in my life. She has been and will continue to be in my daily prayers.
