Clair Wolf Obituary

MANCHESTER Clair E. Wolf, 93, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of the late Lydia (Fuller) Wolf and Edna I. (Hammer) Wolf. Mr. Wolf was born September 12, 1920, in York and was the son of the late Clair J. and Jenny Mae (Fuller) Wolf. He worked for Gichner Shelter Systems in Red Lion for over 14 years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Wolf was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ in York. Mr. Wolf is survived by his fiancee, Corena Shorts; his three sons, Rocky Wolf and Edward Wolf, both of York, and Clair "Bobby" E. Wolf, Jr. of Pocono.; his four daughters, Rayne Ritter of Manchester, Ronisue Wolf-Franqui of York, Linda Anderson of Dillsburg, and Roxanne Wolf of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Richard Wolf of Carolina Beach, N.C.; and his sister, Betty Walker of Wellsville. Mr. Wolf was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Michele and Clairedna; his brother, William Wolf; and his five sisters, Margaret Green, Dorothy Green, Mary Shaffer, Evelyn Golightly and Arlene Johnson. His funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Philip Nace.
