Chuck Carlson Obituary

Carlson, Chuck passed away July 19, 2006. He was a resident of Orlando, Florida. He was a long-time resident of Chicago, where he was born. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Brooke, and his son, Charles III. Strongly committed to duty and his country, he was fourth-generation Navy. He was a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy for 6 years at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. His son has continued this family tradition, being the fifth generation to serve his country in the Navy. He was part owner of a family business, Bird Ladder, in Chicago. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity in Glenview, Illinois. His sense of humor, compassion and boundless love for his family and friends will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was always quick to give of himself, and share the beauties of life with those he loved. He is survived by his loving daughter Brooke of Orlando; son Charles III, daughter-in-law Lisa and their son Tyler, stationed in Virginia; his sisters Lorraine Cain of Lake Geneva and Marla Bland of Chicago; his brother Richard Carlson of Chicago; his aunt Kathleen "Cookie" Nellessen of Arizona, his only surviving aunt, who helped with his birth; many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Wilma Carlson. A Wake will be held on Monday, July 24, 2006, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 13001 South John Young Parkway, Orlando.

Chuck,I probably could write a book

about our adventures over the years.

I always considered you to be my Florida Brother. One thing you don't have to worry about is Brooke&Charlie. You gave them a lifetime of love in a short time. They have a ton of family&friends to watch over them.

So make sure you keep a seat open for me in the Muppet Balcony so we can do our routine again.
