We were saddened today to learn about this tragedy. Chris has been our accountant for the past several years. Until we met Chris tax preparation was a chore to be avoided, but we always looked forward to meeting with him. He was a big man with an even bigger heart who always had a kind word and a cheerful smile. Our hearts go out to his wife and his family during this time of sorrow.

Dear Roder Family, I'm very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of going to St. Ben's High School with Chris and playing basketball with him. He made me smile and laugh during many practices and games. When I think of Chris I'm reminded of a hard working fun loving person.

Dear Connie and the Roder Family,
Words are hard to come by when I was told of Chris' passing today. I believe we were one of his first clients when he started his own accounting firm. The trust he instilled in us for our business and tax needs was palpable. We just knew that whatever monetary hurdle we needed to jump, Chris was there as our guide. We will have a hard time finding anyone to fill this void we now feel. Chris will be missed.

To the Roder Family: Chris and I met when we were 12 at Horner Park, we played baseball together. In high school we played basketball together...he was my center. I would like to extend my sincerest sympathies to the Roder family. Chris was a true gentleman and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. To know him was to love him.

We offer our deepest condolences to the Roder family. Chris was a great guy! I first met Chris through a leads group meeting in Plainfield and he has been our tax accountant and friend ever since. I have watched him through the years building his buisness, but it wasn't about just building his business, it was about building relationships. Chris loved people and there wasn't anything that he wouldn't do for anyone. He was one of the most honest, caring, and friendliest people that we have ever met. He will be missed and thought about often!
Our deepest sympathy,
Casey and Linda Stec

Dear Connie and Roder Family,
We are very sorry for your loss, are prayers are with all of you. We feel the need to tell you how we meet and loved Chris. About 3 years ago Chris started out as our accountant, but in a short time became our dear friend, advisor and cheerleader. As most people who knew Chris already know, to know Chris is to love him and we did!!! He loved his wife Connie and spoke often of how proud he was of her. Chris was larger than life! He had a big heart, a brillant mind, a passion for politics, and a love for great food!
In our journey through life it is rare to have been touched by a person with so much positive energy, love and honesty. It has been our pleasure and great honor to have known Chris even if for a short time and we will miss him and never forget him!!
Our deepest sympathy,

Chris will always be remembered as a great person who enjoyed himself and brought out the best in others. I met him through the Shorewood Chamber of Commerce and he was very giving and interested in a common goal. I am deeply sorry about his passing and hope the family will remain strong and live their lives the way Chris would have wanted.

Words cannot express the sorrow I felt when I heard the news of my friend Chris. I met him freshman year at St. Benedicts and considered him a very close friend. How wonderful he made those 4 years for me. In the past years I've been to several card games with Chris and Maggi, Cook, Mitchell, Gerhart and others...I will cherish those times. The insults!, the pizza...how I will miss him.... My deepest sympathy goes out to all of his family.

Chris will be missed. He was the accountant at my place of work and I can only imagine what his family is going thru. I will remember him as the big guy who would come in the office sliding on the ice, having the time of his life! While the rest of us walked on that ice on our toes, slowly, not wanting to fall on our face. But not Chris, he saw the positive and fun side to it. Chris brought a candy jar in our office to replace one that was accidentally broken, we will keep it full always in rememberance of him. And to his family..."this too shall pass."

Dear Roder Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Chris. I have such fun and fond memories of him and your folks. Let's recall a few to make us smile and laugh...like attending the Chicago Blitz Football games. Not only was Chris elected as a cheerleader but even got to play with the security guys! And how about his job with the CTA as a bus driver? To bad he wasn't even employed by them, but he sure knew how to drive one around. It must have been the double parking job that ended that career. Chris never even joined a health club, I remember him lifting the Chicago trib and Chicago Times corner paper boxes for exercise...chains and all! He was always around to help out too. Great guy to know to cut into line at the bars on Lincoln Ave., since he was a bouncer. I'm sure he will do one heck of a job standing next to the Pearly Gates of Heaven. (I just hope he let's me in when my time comes).
Miss you all, and again, my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to you all.
Your "Adoptive" Bro,
Willie Fuchs
